168-Hour FAST - Day 2

A beautiful Spring day!  I woke at 5:30 with a perfectly clear head and no hunger pangs at all (until around 7am).  The hunger pangs just come and go… they are entirely manageable.

I had a coaching session in the early morning with a client, and then have been reading "A New Diet for America" by John Robbins and listening to the CD by John Tesh (et al) called "Guitar by Fire".  Apparently, listening to upbeat instrumental music is good in keeping blood sugar and hormones in balance… keeps the cortisol levels down.  Yay!  I am looking for a poster of the cover of the John Tesh CD– in my distant youth (believe it or not) I had a figure sort of like the model's…. I wasn't as tall and willowy, but I was very  slim and lithe.  Ed and I have talked it over and we think that it is highly possible for me to regain some of my youthful shape… I only need to drop another 70 pounds (isn't that shocking!) to be the weight I was at 23 years old.  And that was after having two babies…. I wonder what I actually weighed when I was 18?  Well, if my  husband says it is do-able, I believe him.  It will, however, require some exercise as well as maintaining my current vegan (particularly the Green Smoothies) routine.  I am planning to buy a bike with my income tax rebate, and I think I will begin to learn golf– next week I can vision me hitting some balls on a driving range.  And– this is a secret fantasy– I would LOVE to learn to do flamenco dance.  I won't, of course, go to a regular dance Guitar by the Fire class (not even sure there is one around here), but there are videos that can teach me the basics.  Who knew I could have such interesting goals at 56?

<<Here is the picture of the John Tesh CD cover in case you know of a poster that I could get hold of to put on my Vision Board?
