168-Hour FAST - Day 15

Filed under: Uncategorized by healthiacynthia on May 14, 2007 7:15 am

Mother's Day. Probably the first Mother's Day in 36 years when I haven't gone out to eat some sumptuous meal, my reward for popping these men into the world. (Conrad is posting this) Last night's climb into back up the stairs almost did me in - I probably won't be going down and up for the duration of this fast.

The tongue coat -colon sludge or whatever - continues to plague me. I'd quit, but I read that a premature break of the fast can result in a continuation of the coat. I couldn't stand that. One March our family went to Disneyland and stayed in motel in Anaheim -  the smog was thick and reeking, like nothing I'd ever experienced. It reached right down into my throat. The only end to it was the sudden, 2-day rainfall. This tongue coat reminds me of that -  tastes like every pharmaceutical I was ever prescribed (taken without water, the after-taste so vile that a shiver of revulsion ran throughout my body.)

Is my skin pink yet? No. Have my moles fallen off? No. But my nose seems to be thinner - Ed laughed at this when I pointed it out. Seems that I have the Flatt (paternal grandma) propensity for a flat hump on my nose. Maybe was an energy storage for these cold winter nights in the Orkney soddie - those with fat noses made it through the winter.

Alyza (19 months) was scheduled to get up in front of the Church with her Mom and Dad today to welcome people and say "Happy Mother's Day." She still prefers just to listen to me on the phone.

God Bless ~ Cynthia
